Show Conference Is WeD Attended The quarterly eonXVrencc and priesthood convention if the North Sanpete Stake was held December 13th and Hth. The nm n was held at Mt. Pleasant with President S. M. Neilson presiding Elder Orsen F. Whitney, represent! in the church authorities was here accompanied by H. M. Dinwoodey' The theme of the conference wii "The Nature and Purpose of the, Priesthood" and "The History 0f the Priesthood and its Activities m Our Stake " m addition to Elder Whitney, the speakers were, Lee i Zl 1 Spring City' obed Nelson of Mt. Pleasant and Bishop Henrv Jones of Pairview. Two choruses by the priesthood quorums of Spring City, under direction of E--nest Terry were given. Sunday sessions were held a' Pairview with President Daniel Rasmussen in charge. The priesthood priest-hood program was continued Otis Nielson, Bishop James P. Ellis of Spring City. Devon Sanderson Arthur Ar-thur Nielson and Joseph oisen s?ke- Elder Whitney spoke on The Fitness of all Things." He complimented those taking part Excellent music was furnished by the Stoke Choir under the direction of Mrs. H. G. Ericksen. A quartette quar-tette from the Fairview North ward tendered two selections. The afternoon session was presided pre-sided over by President Rasmussen President H. C. Jacobs spoke. Far-rel Far-rel Sorenson and Radford Wag-staff, Wag-staff, returned missionaries, bore testimonies. H. M. Dinwoodey spoke on the sacrifices parents make lor their sons. Elder Whitney said: "It is not what we hear, but what we remember that develops and enriches our lives." As the closing number of the conference a cantata can-tata was given by the musical department de-partment of the N. S. high school, under the direction of Lav.Ter.ee-Sardoni.. Lav.Ter.ee-Sardoni.. The meeting was in charge of the Stake M. I. A. officers. |
