Show Party Is Given for Old People Following is the program pre rented Wednesday at the Old Folks party with Bishop A. L. Peterson Pe-terson in charge. Pres. H. C. Jacobs offered the blessing on the food; selection, North Sanpete High orchestra; invocation, Bishop James Larson; ladies chorus, "Silver Threads A-mong A-mong the Gold," North ward M. I. A. chorus, under the direction of Miss Martha Thomas; 'address of welcome, Bishop A. L. Peterson; iolin quartet, North Sanpete high ichool students; reading, Miss jlelon Romney; address from Am asa Aldrich was read by Mrs. H BC. Jacobs; voca! solo, Christie Jaccbsen; orchestra selection from North Sanpete high; benediction, Christian Johansen.- During the day four hundred 11 nd eight people were served and forty lunches were sent out to those who were unable to attend. There were present 34 people over 50 years of age; 73 people ov- Ior 60 years; 45 people over 70 years; is people over 80 years, 47 widows and 18 widowers. The oldest lady present was Mrs. Louisa Beckstrom, aged 88 years: nnd the oldest man present was Mr. Henry P. Ellertson, age 86. Following dinner and the pro-tram pro-tram a picture show was present-i present-i d. A very successful dance was held in the evening. ESM |
