Seeiey and accompanied I by Ed Nielson and Reed Green. ! left Monday for a trip up Huntingdon Hunting-don Canyon. They wJi be gone until l.ru-sday. On Wednesday Mrs. Abe Livingston, Living-ston, Mrs. Eva Lewis, Mrs. L. R. Ivory, Mrs. Irvin Oldroyd and Mrs. O. L. Seeley took their refreshments and went to Mt. Pleasant where they spent the afternoon at the-home the-home of Mrs. Seeley's mother, Mrs.. W. E. Watson. Mrs. O. V. Anderson An-derson and Mrs. Arthur O. Nielson of Mt. Pleasant also joined them and they spent a very happy afternoon af-ternoon together. . Mrs. Matthias Allred with her mither, Mrs. Peter Jacobson oi Provo, are leaving Thursday for New York to visit -with thteir brother bro-ther and son, Ruel, who is laboring in that mission as an L. D. S. missionary. mis-sionary. They expect to be gone for a month. On Saturday evening an elaborate elabor-ate wedding reception in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Aivin Jackson was given gi-ven at the amusement hall. A large number of relatives and friends were in attendance. A delicious de-licious hot supper was served to all present after winch an unussual-ly unussual-ly god program was given. The r.ewlSTveds were presented with many useful and beautiful gifts. - J. J. Oldroyd, representing the Fountain Green Lions club, left Monday for Denver, Colorado, to attend the Lions Convention to be held there. Arthur Rosquist surprised his friends by coming here to visit and bringing with him his wife. She was formerly Mis Afton D. Davies of Salt Lake City and they were married on June 26th. They have just returned to Salt Lake City. Mrs. George E. Collard and children chil-dren gf Provo, have returned home after a few weeks visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Will Coombs and family of Salt Lake City are having a two weeks vacation and are en-j037ing en-j037ing the same in our city with relatives and friends. A splendid representation of Fountain Green was present at the Maple Canyon Day celebration on July 11th. In spite of rainfall an excellent prcgra::i was rendered and the band was also in attendance. An unussual celebration for July 24th is being arranged and every one is assured a real time on that day. Everybody be in attendance. Among the features are: program in the forenoon, rodeo east of town in afternoon, dance for children at -v.ndov.n, ft. lowed by one for the public. Paul E. Nielson of Manti has been awarded the contract to carry mail from Manti to Nephi for the next four years, commencing with service July 1, 1930. Mr. Nielson is the son of Lars Nielson of Fountain Green and resides now at Manti. Mail arrives at Fountain Green at 8 a. m. and 1:30 p. m. The Rio Grande Motor Way of Utah, Inc. will continue to operate between Salt Lake City and Marysvale. The bus will leave Fountain Green northbound at 10:45 a. m. and will arrive at Fountain Green southbound south-bound at 12:35. John E. Aagard of Provo with his son Burnell and daughter Kenna, spent a few days in our city. Burnell Bur-nell had the misfortune to receive a bad gash in his foot while chopping chop-ping with an ax at the herd. Ruth Collard of Salt Lake City, is visiing with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Collard. |
