Show V FAIRVIEW By Sppecial Correspondence j The stockholders of the Fairview Cooperative Sheep Company met Saturday November 30th at the Faii-view State Bank and elected the following officers and directors for the ensuing two years as follows: fol-lows: Dr. Olaf Sundwall, President; James H. Sanderson, vice president; Peter Sundwall, secretary and treasurer; treas-urer; Dr. O. Sundwall of Murray, J. H. Sanderson of Manti, Peter Sundwall, Henry Jones and Alber-tina Alber-tina Lassen of Fairview, were named nam-ed directors. This livestock organization extends ex-tends back to 1875 and is regarded as the oldest organization of its kind in the state of Utah. The late Peter Sundwall with a few of his business associates were identified iden-tified with this company for many years and it was largely through their efforts that this company has grown to its present degree of prominence prom-inence and success. Mr. and Mrs. Tyson Tucker and sons Dean and Frances of Soda Springs, Idaho, spent the past week visiting relatives and friends in this city. Dean Tucker has recent lv returned from a mission to Germany. Germ-any. Mrs. Mary Y. Miner of Provo, visited relatives here during the Thanksgiving holidays. Turpin, deputy Fish and ame Warden reports that Saturday two boys found a full grown deer frozen in the ice at Funk's Lake. Evidently it had ventured too far into the stream while drinking and had drowned. The lake is not entirely en-tirely frozen over, but was frozen at the place where the deer was found. The A. B. club met at the home of Mrs. Winford Mower Friday. A social afternoon was spent. A Thanksgiving program and menu were enjoyed by twelve guests. Under the direction of the ward teachers, a number of cottage meet ings were held in Fairview north ward during the week. Friday evening thirty-five peopla under direction of William Bohne held a meeting at the county infirmary. in-firmary. Two returned missionaries mission-aries and one of the inmates spoke. The company had with them a good choir which rendered several selections. selec-tions. The visit was much appreciated appreci-ated by the inmates. The Parent Teachers Association held their regular meeting Thursday evening. The program included talk on play grounds by Chancy Howell, the Kindergarten project by Stanley Brady; talk by the new president, Ora Stewart; reading, Thelma Christensen; piano solo, Olea Poulsen; musical numbers under un-der direction of Jesse L.
