Show PK LIBRARY ; BOARD MEETS i An interesting meeting of the library li-brary board was held at the Carnegie Library .Monday afternoon at which time the report of the librarian, Mrs, Pearl H. 'i'ruscolt, for September and October was submitted. During i hose two months, 930 books were loaned out, 178 new books were purchased pur-chased and 63 6 visitors inspected the library, 24 new books were added to 'he rental shelf, and in all, a much greater interest on the part of tho reading public was manifested. Mrs. Francis J. Neilsen was welcomed wel-comed as the new member of the board, appointed by Mayor Roberc : I. Hinckley to succeed C. L. Johns, who has moved to California. At the request of Mrs. H. C. Jacobs of the library board, anid chairman of the department of fine arts of the. Utah Federation of Women'B Clubs, permission was granted for the holding hold-ing of an art institute in the Horary during the month of January. The regular meeting of the board was set for the first Monday of each month at 3:30 p. m., at the Horary building. |
