Declaring that "the state acteVi with rare and laudable promptness in setting about to prevent a recur-rc-nce of such tragedies," the Associa- j tion, in an editorial which will appear in the June number of the j American Labor Legislation Review, : says: "Utah now has the most com-, prehensive and enlightened set of coal mine safety regulations anywhere any-where in the United States." The new regulations, which include in-clude the rock dustiii'g of mines to prevent coal dust explosions, It is stated, meet the principal requirements require-ments set forth in the program oi prevention of needless coal mine ac cidents put forward by the associa- ) tion during the past year and a half. J in cooperation with mine operators and engineers, representatives of miners' organizations and state and federal mine inspectors.
