Show MT. PLEASANT YOUTH IS MUSIC CONTEST WINNER Floyd Larsen, son of Mrs. Hyruni Christensen of this city, who is attending at-tending the B. Y. U. at Provo, was Monday evening declared the winner of the Pardoe Gold Medal wind instrument in-strument contest in a field of six competitors. Prof. T. Earl Pardoe. head of the dramatic arts department of the university, in behalf of Mrs. Pardoe and himself, presented Larson Lar-son with a gold watch fob. The winner win-ner Is a saxophone player. Each contestant played the inter, mezzo from the opera "Cavallicr Rus-tii-ana" by Masagni. and also rendered render-ed a selection chosen by the player. The points of adjudication were determined de-termined by tone, articulation, inter-Jpretition. inter-Jpretition. and ease in playing, j The judges were Trof. A. R.
