Show Postage Rates Changes Made1 Postmaster H. C. Jacobs An- nounces Increases to be Effective Ef-fective April 15. New Regulations Apply to All Classes and Must Be Strictly Observed. The new postage rates, effective April 15, were announced in detail in a report issued to the Pyramid fc-y Postmaster Henry C. Jacobs. In first class -ma ill the principal change will be an increase in the rate for postcards post-cards and private mailing cards of from one to 'two cents. The provision permitting the acceptance of sealed parcels for .mailing at the fourth class rate of postage when they bear the prescribed printed return re-turn caird of .the sender and the indicia in-dicia as to contents and opening for postal inspection, will be applicable to all third class mail except circulars and miscellaneous printed matter. The .postmaster has made it emphatic that all matter subject to the adjusted rates on and after April 15 .must bear the required postage to be .mailed. |
