P'.easant. Utah. Dear Friend: This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of March 25, lf'24, advising ad-vising me that your Postmaster was in rec ipt of a que.-.ionaire relative to a site for a federal buildir.gat Mt. Pleasant. The questionaire is sent out for information to be 'Used in connection with a bill that I introduced in the : Senate to erect a post-office building at Mt. Pleasant. Utah. It will take some time before the legislation can be acted upon authorizing the purchase pur-chase of the site and nothing definate can be accomplished until that authorization au-thorization is granted. The present is simply a preliminary examination. I doubt whether there will be a public buildings bill pass Congress at this session, although there Is a strong feeling that such a bill should pass. On account of the reduction of taxation, which is paramount, I doubt whether a general public buildings bill will be 'Undertaken this year. With warm personal regards and best wishes, I remain Yours snicerely, REED SMOOT. |
