Show FLOODS LEAVES PRICE1N MIRE RAIN FOLLOWS THE COURSE OF CLOUDBURSTS; MINING CAMPS SUFFER GREAT LOSSES Farms, Homes Swamped With Mud; Railroads, Power and Water Lines Suffer Price Devastation left in the wake of the worst flood in the history of Price valley was faced again by weary highway and mine officials, miners and farmers, only a week after the violent torms of June 27 and 28 caused thousands of dollars' damage to Carbon Car-bon county property. Many of the mining towns and farms, already ruined by last week's disaster, were again victims of the flood. New damage in most of these cases was slight, as there was nothing left to destroy. Traffic in and out of Carbon county to the west and into the Uintah basin Is tied up indefinitely, motorists being forced to use the Salina canyon road until Willow creek is again opened. The Kenilworth branch of the D. & R. G. W. railroad had just been repaired repair-ed from the several bad washout and slides of last week when the storm took out a temporary bridge installed to span one of the places that were washed out. |
