Miner Blows Head Off Park City. Sam Johnson, about 38 years old, a miner, committed suicide in the Ontario mine, by putting giant powder in his mouth and blowing his head off. After all the workers had left, Johnson went into the mine, obtained ob-tained the powder and killed himself. Tom Ryan, engineer at the mine, discovered dis-covered the body when he went into the east drift. It is thought that Johnson had become despondent. He had been arrested for disturbing the peace, and was released on bond of $50. He is survived by his widow and one daughter, 10 years of age.
