Show program OUTLINED FOR PIONEERS 810 AMIJAIHERIHG Committes Have Been Busy; Program Has Been Arranged. All Over Seventy Years of Age are Guests of Honor. The various committees having hav-ing charge of the fourteenth annual celebration of the lit Pleasant Pioneer Historical Association which will be held Wednesday, March 21st, have been busy for some time planning plan-ning the annual event. Plans in part are as follows: At noon, through the courtesy courte-sy of Prof. Terry, the High School Band will furnish music at the Monument corner. The conveyance committee will convey guests of honor to the Noorth Ward shapel where the following program will be rendered at 2 o 'clock P. M. School Chorus fifth grade B, conducted by Miss Cristy Clark. Invocation by Andrew Lar sen Vocal solo, by Miss Clark; Minutes Financial report Election of officers and Historical His-torical sketches of Mt. Pleas -ant's first Brass Band, and first Public Schools. Eeading by Louise Barton Saxophone duet by Floyd Larsen and Charles Wall. Address by C. W. Sorensen. ' Vocal duet by Gertrude Rolf- son and Ventta Stansfield. Selection by North Ward Re- ! lief Society Quartet. Benediction, by W. II. Seely. Immediately after the program pro-gram the relics and curios will be displayed at the Library, . where guests of honor will be ' server with refreshments. J At night a ball will be given J. at the Armory Hall, and one of' the features of the evening will be a grand march led by Mt. ' Pleasant 's oldest pioneers. J Refreshments will be served, j and as in the past, each lady attending the party will be ex-' pccted to furnish one dozen filled samdwitches or three dozen doz-en cookies. There are more than one hundred invited guests of hon or. Any one over seventy: years of age. who is a pioneer or a decendent of pioneers of 1859 to 1869, and a member of the organization, arc invited as! such. i The aim of the organization' is to do honor to our pioneers, record genealogy, preserve re-' lies, and anything of a historic-j ' al nature, also to beautify ami j care for the Monument corner. This is an affair worthy of your support, and has always been one of the enjoyable events of the year. |
