Show Pioneer Passes to Her Final Rest Funeral '.crvieea tor Mrs. Tidwell Phipps, a pioneer resident of this city who died early Saturday morning, were hold Monday in the South ward chapel with Joseph Johansen Jr. of the South ward bishopric, presiding President S. M. Nielsen and Andrew ; Larsen offered the praye"3 and the ward chior furnished the music with Miss Ethel Lund Mrs. Obed Ne'lso-n and Mrs. E. R. Poulson as soloists. The speakers were William Olsen. Bishop James Larsen, C. W. Sorensen and Joseph Johan.-.tn Jr. The- grave was dedicated by Eishop Petersen of Fairview. The floral offerings were beautiful ar.d profusa, evidencing the high esteem es-teem in which the community held this pioneer woman. Emeline M. Tidwell Phipps, daughter daugh-ter of John Tidwell and Jaue Smith Tidwell, was born May 29, 1855 at Pleasant Grove, Utah. At the age of four years her parents moved to Mt. Pleasant as pioneers in April, 1859. She has lived in Mt. Pleasant since that date, except two year3 from 1876 to 1878, which time she spent at Vermillion. Utah near Richfield. Rich-field. She was married to Jssac N. Phipp3 December 24, 1 875, by David Cand-larid Cand-larid and leaves the following child ren surviving her. Mrs. Louisa J. Averett, Mrs. Ella Hod,ges of Hurley New Mexico, Mr;, Sarah A. Allred, and My.. Letlio Pcteison. Throe children having died. Mrs. Rosalia Tripp, Issac Leslie, and Leo R.
