PLEASANT mi ii HE I IS 11 State officials accompanied by representatives of the Union Un-ion Pacific system and a number num-ber of local business men left Salt Lake City last Friday for a trip to Bryee Canyon to investigate in-vestigate the proposal of the I nion Pacific system to purchase pur-chase the section of state owned own-ed land approaching the canyon can-yon on which the railroad company com-pany proposes to build a hotel. The party traveled th rough Sanpete County to Richfield where a meeting was held Friday Fri-day regarding the Sevier county claims for a hard surface sur-face highway. They made the visit to Bryee canyon where the site of the hotel was inspected from a standpoint of the public welfare as well as from the Union Pacific's viewpoint- The party making the trip includes in-cludes Gov. Charles R. Maby, John T. Oblroyd, state land (commissioner, U. I). Eliason of the state land office; Congressman Congress-man E. O. Leatherwood; A. C. Ju-es of the I'tah Associated in dustries: C. B.
