Show Bandits Work In Chicago Chicago. Forcing the employes of the bank into a small room, four unmasked bandits, armed with sawed saw-ed off shotguns, robbed the Ashland Sixty-third Street bank of a sum thought to exceed $15,000. Entering the bank and mingling wttlt the first patrons, they approached the various service windows and demanded "all the money in sight." Threatening (he customers and the employes, they shoved the rolls of bills into a sack, and while one of the quartet "covered" "cov-ered" the retreat, jumped into a waiting motorcar and escaped. Police, Po-lice, notified by the alarm system, responded at once, but so quickly had the holdup been staged, and so perfect per-fect was the plan worked out, the car had been lost in the maze of traffic. Mounted officers in pursuit of the robbers had been unable to find trace of the daring bandits. |
