Show BOY SCOUT "CAMPOREE" Contests of interest and skill have been arranged for the Boy . Scouts "Campoiee" to be held in conjuction : with the M. I.. A. Jubilee at Mt. 1 Pleasant, May 1. Prizes will be a-- a-- waided the troops gaining the most 1 points to be counted as follows: 1 CUTTING FUZZ STICK One contestant per troop. 2 ! points for each splinter 4 inches c-more c-more in length. 1 point penalty. for ! .:ach splinter or part splinter cut entirely off stick. Time limit 2 ainutes. PYRAMID FIRE BUILDING Three contestants per troop. Pyr-mid Pyr-mid fire to be built under or near ! rings atre.tclied lu and 18 inehej ra ground respectively. Fire to e placed at any position most favorable fav-orable to air currents as dete.rmine.1 by contestants. Top of pyramid not o be hi.'hier than 12 inches. 16 points for first string burned in two. 2 0 poiiiU for second string burned in two. 15 points for first pyramid fire completed. FLAP JACK; One contest per troop. Contestant to build own fire, flap-jack, flip it over string held as high as two tall men can hold it Clipping and catching flapjack in i:yin,g pan. 10 inch pan to be used by all. 50 points to be awarded on time and thoroughness of cooking. FIRST AID Three contestants icr troop; 2 men 1 victim. Injury to be announced at time of contjst but not to exceed work beyond thpt 'required by first class tests, probablv ' include splints. 100 points. SINGNALLING Four eontesian-.s per. troop: 2 singnalmen, 2 recorders. Messages to be sent not to exceed 10 0 letters, including conventional signs. 50 points on percentage of time and accuracy. Use o-f either semaphore or wag permitted. Semaphore to be judied 30 letters per minute. Wig wag to be judged 16 letters per minute. NATURE STUDY One contestant per troop. Contestants to be blindfolded blind-folded and to judge five native plants r.r trees by taste, feel and smell. 10 I'O'nts to be awarded for each correct answer. FIRE BY FRICTION One contestant contes-tant per troop. 20 points for best home made set used. 50 points for first blaze. 15 minutes time limit. EXHIBITION OF HANDICRAFT. 50 points for best exhibit, including not more than one kmotboard. but any numiber neckelrchief slides, leathercraift, totem poles, etc. FIRST PRIZE: U. S. National Flag War Department "Parade" 4 one third -by 5 one hali feet Regulation, or equivalent. SECOND PRIZE.
