Show ISO LTAHXS DIED IN WAR, OFFICIALS FIGURES REVEAL. Three officers and 136 enlisted tnen from Utah were killed in the ! world war, according to official figures fig-ures complied by the adjutant gen-eral gen-eral of the army and received here recently by Lieut. Col. Fred Jorgen-sen, Jorgen-sen, adjutant general for Utah. I In the itemized statement of the Utah casualties, the -following facts appear: One officer and forty-three men died of wounds, three officers and ninety-nine enlisted men died of accidents, one was drowned, one committed suicide, three died from causes undertermined. I The total death list thus is given as 295 enlisted men and seven officers. offi-cers. Seven Utahns were taken prisoners pris-oners and repatriated. The list of men and officers slightly slight-ly and seriously wounded shows a total of twenty-four officers and 982 men. A total of 546 Utah men died while in the military service. |
