Show A RESOLUTION At the regular monthly meeting of the Daughters of Utah Indian War veterans the following resolutions were drafted on (he mi mules: That whereas, the President of the United States has passed and signed a bill granting to Black Hawk Indian War Veterans a Pension on account 'of Indian wars and depredations which occurred in the early history of the state of Utah. Therefore, we, as an organization called Daughters of Utah Indian War Veterans also in. eluding wives of veterans, do hereby extend unto our President and members mem-bers of the United States Congress, our sincere appreciation and thanks, and wish to say this pension is well deserved as history tells of the suffering suffer-ing and loss of life, homes and property prop-erty that occured by reason of the extreme cruelty of the red men to the settlers of this state and these veterans who fought so valiently for the protection of the lives, homes and property of the people.
