farm Loan Association Organized During Week The North Sanpete National Farm Loan Association was organized at Mount Pleasant last Saturday evening even-ing by the following men: James Larsen, Joseph Seely, J. W. Anderson, James B. Staker, William L. Madsen, Andrew Larsen, A. C. Candland, Daniel Rasmussen, Dr. W. P. Winters and Asa Reynolds. The officers elected were James Larsen, president; Joseph Seely, vice president; John S. Blain, secretary and treasurer, and A. C. Candland, William L. Madsen, J. W. Anderson, Daniel Rasmussen and J. B. Staker as directors. The purpose of the organization is to get money at a low rate of interest to improve farm lands. A national farm, loan association may be organized in any community vhere ten citizens owning land desire de-sire to borrow an aggregate of not less than $20,000. The land must be unincumbered or the proceeds of the loan imust be used, in part, to remove any lien. Loans may be as small as $100, or as large as1 $10,000.
