Show Salt Lake Highest In Year Ogden Engineers of the Southern Pacific company are closely watching the rising of the waters of Great Salt lake, which are now to the highest point reached in 32 years. The water since February 1 has been rising at the rate of about eight inches every fifteen days. If it continues to risl? at the same rate it will reach the level of 1SRS and the water will be within one inch of the top of the railroad trestle. Railroad engineers declared that should the water reach such phenomental height it would cause no damage to the trestle work and the only trouble if the water covered the rails would be a delay of traffic until the waters of the lake receded. |
