Show G. V. CLEMENSEN IS WOUNDED IN FIGHT WITH HUN Word was received Tuesday evening even-ing by Mr. and Mrs. George Clemon-scn Clemon-scn of this city that their son. Vernon Clemetisen has been severely wounded in France. The message was very brief. Vernon, himself, sent it while at one of the military hospitals. He wss shot through tlie right shoulder by a machine gun bullet. Mr. Clemensen says that he will recover as he is receiving r-cellent r-cellent care by the best surfieons in the army. Vernon Clemensen enlisted last fall. He went to Camp Lewis about the first of the year and left an eastern east-ern port for France on July 4th. He has been at the front for several months. He is the first Mt. rieasnnt boy o be wounded in battle. Vernon has a host of friends in this community whose sympathies are extended ex-tended for his speedy recovery. |
