Show NO FEED, NO FIGHT. Officers of the United States army are resigning in alarmingly increas-' ing numbers. Over two thousand have returned to civil life within the past few months. It is a case of no feed no fight. They are. weary of working for one-half one-half what other people receive. This is ho time for congress to haggle and split baits. If we ate to have an army that army must be decently paid. If it is not so paid we will soon have no army, and with no arniy to enforce law and order the country will soon be a' the mercy of the Reds. An ,i a lied, we might mark, has the refinement of a buzzard and the mercy of a tiger. Pay the army a living wage. Co-union seure and self preservation preserva-tion demand it. There are 6'.n00 Re Is listed in the United Slates, all individually, ccM'vtively. solidly and etenvlly against the government. As a thrifty means of busting up this nest of hornets we ;..!ggcst that they be collected col-lected together, parceie.' out to our farmers, and compelled to till the s' ii for the- benefit of those who . l.i'!-'.-'ved in law-.- order and American institutions.
