Show FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR GLENDEN JUSTESEN Funeral services for Glenden Justesen, nineteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Justesen, who died Thnrsdav following an opera tion for appendicitis, were held in the Spring City ward chapel Saturday Satur-day afternoon, with Bishop Samuel Allred officiating. Special music was Tendered by Jesse Schofield 'and Fames Allred, assisted by the ward choir. The speakers were Simon T. Beck, John Robinson, Lee Christensen, James W Blain, Freeman E. Allred and Bishop Allred. The invocation was offered by Marinus Mortensen and the bene diction was pronounced by John P Johnson. The grave in the city cemetery was dedicated by Joseph SchoHeia. 'Besides his parents, the young man Is survived by the following brother? ad Bisters: Vaughn, Eli'da, and dances J.ustesen, and Mrs. Josephine Householder, all of Spring City. Two hundred persons were gathered gather-ed around two. huge bonfires on the Wasatch Academy campus last night in the celebration of M. P. O. B, day. The celebration was directed by Miss May Clemensen, Miss Frances Jensen, Jen-sen, Miss Edna Matson, Russell Goodman Good-man and Rev. A. V. Boand. The social committee consisted of Miss Thelma Beaumann, Miss Dorothy Wall and Miss El Rasmussen. Or- i iginal games and songs featuring the coming state convention of Christian Endeavorers at Mt. Pleasant, created . much amusement. j In the meantime, registration for ( the convention is going steadily forward for-ward and at least 2 00 delegates from outside Mt. Pleasant are expected. These, it is planned, will be entertained enter-tained in private homes and in the 'Wasatch dormitories during their stay in Mt. Pleasant. All committee chairmen are working hard for the success of the convention ana a.c meeting a generous response. V. L. Johnson of the Wasatch Merc. Co. lectured to the Salesmanship Salesman-ship and Efficiency Department of the Wasatch Academy Friday, on the Fundamental Laws of Business Achievement. While playing with cartridges last, night, Rasmus, five year old son of Mr and Mrs. Hans Jorgensen, set one oil fire with a lighted match. The cartridge exploded and the child was Mdly burned about his face! and body. iD(r. 0. Sundwall was immediately im-mediately called to dress the child's injuries and it was found tnat uie left eye was most severely burned. It is feared that the sight of this eye was destroyed. |
