Show THINGS WE DON'T SEE The -man with good eyes In his head sees many things if he uses them. .Tlie trouble with most of us, though, is that we do not use our eyes as much as we should, or at least not in the right direction. Engrossed in our own business affairs, we are slow to note the things we could do to make this a belter city. An opportunity to add to our bank account is grasped with avidity, and i we are quick to cast around for 'others of its kind. ". But that which adds to the collective col-lective good Is too often passed by. It is not seen because our minds are centered upon Individual gain to the I practical exclusion of all else. There are exceptions, of course, but they are not sufficiently numerous to produce outstanding results. An official town booster wouldn't be a bad person 'to have, even if it were necessary to pay him a respectable respect-able salary for using his eyes while ours are closed. |
