Show ANDREW LASSEN IS LI ATRIAL REST Andrew Lassen, an aged and well respected citizen of Fairview, died at her home Saturday, April 19. He had been in' poor health the past winter. He was in his seventy-sixth seventy-sixth year and has lived in Fairview for over fifty years. Funeral services ser-vices were held in the L. D. S. chapel April 22nd. The funeral was well attended and the floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. Peter Sund-wall, Sund-wall, Jr. gave a short synopsis of his life and labors. Heber S. Olsen and Bishop H. P. Hansen also spoke ; well of him and his work. Mr. Lassen Las-sen has always been a great worker. Music was furnished, by the ward choir. Miss Mae Madsen and Mrs. Ivan Sanderson each sang an appropriate appro-priate solo. Mr. Lassen was a prominent-man of the community, being be-ing president of the B'airview State Bank and president of the Fairview Mercantile Company at the time of his "death. Mr. Lassen was born in Sweden on : October 23 1843. He joined the L. D. S. Church in his native country and in May 18 65 came to Utah, driv- ; ing a merchandise team across the plains. On Christmas Day, 1865 he reached Fairview. Mr. Lassen may well be designated as a self-made man and a thorough farmer and financier. He made his home at Oak Creek for many years but moved to ! Fairview about two years ago. He : was the father of ten daughters, ! seven of whom survive him. He is also survived by. his wife. His family have all been educated to be useful ; members of society, and are well re-: re-: spected in the communities in which ' they reside. His children are as fol-: fol-: lows: Mrs. Emanuel Allred of Idaho, : Mrs. Fahring of Sunnyside, Mrs. J. C. Moore of Salt Lake City, Mrs. J. J. Williams of Sunnyside, whose husband hus-band is in France in the U. S. service. Miss Agnes Lassen, who is head nurse in the Salt Lake County hospital, and the Misses Clista and Cleon Lassen, who are school teachers. He also leaves two brothers and one sister, Ole Lassen, Niels Lassen and Mrs. ' Richard Graham, all of Fairview. .' .-Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Madsen returned return-ed f riday to their home In Black-!
