Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR PETER 1111 Highly Respected Citizen of Mount Pleasant Laid at Rest Last Fliday Afternoon. Funeral services were held at the North Ward chapel last Friday afternoon after-noon at one o'clock over the remains of Peter Matson, one of Mt. Pleas-ant's Pleas-ant's highly respected citizens who died at his home in this city, Tuesday Tues-day morning, March 11th after an illness of several weeks ' with stomach stom-ach troubles. Bishop H. C. Jacobs presided during dur-ing the services. The opening prayer was offered by Pres. A. Merz. The ward choir scang, "We Need Thee Every Hour" and several other appropriate ap-propriate hymns. A vocal solo "I'll go Where You Want Me to Go" was rendered ren-dered by Miss Goldie Neilson and Miss Eva Simpson played a beautiful beauti-ful violin solo. The speakers were Pres. C. N. Lund. Elder P. Sundwall of Fairview and Bishop Jacobs, all of whom paid tributes of respect to the useful life and glowing character of the departed brother. Elder William Olson offered the closing prayer, and the grave at the cemetery was dedicated dedi-cated by Bishop Jacobs. The floral offerings were many and beautiful, showing ;the high esteem es-teem in which Elder'Matson was held by his many friends. Those who came from out of town to attend the "funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Matson of Bingham, William Wil-liam Matson and daughter, Fern, of Salt Lake City, Mr. and, Mrs. M. Mortensen of Spring City and Peter Sundwall of Fairview. |
