Show Quarterly Conference j Quarterly Conference for the North Sanpete Stake will be held at j Moroni Saturday and Sunday, December Dec-ember 12 and 13, 1914. There will be some of tho members of the Quorum Quor-um of Twelve Apostles in attendant, to give Instructions to the members of tho various wards In the stake. j Tho regular Priesthood meeting will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Special business of interest inter-est will be transacted at the meeting. ; I E. L. Miner of Honolulu sent the Pyramid a copy of The Pacific Com-, morcial Advertiser which is received receiv-ed with much pleasure. It brings ! fond memories to mind as the pages are road. It treats of Hawaii's "Tamo Volcano' giving views of the crater and the Pit of Fire. Tree Fern Jungles are described and shown. Decorated automibles are shown In Honolulu's Annual Mid-Winter Mid-Winter Floral Parade and Japanese are shown In Samuri Costumes. The great hotels, The Moana, The Royal Hawaiian and the Alexander Young with its beautiful roof gardens are advertised in its pages. It shows Uncle Sam's strongest Army Post with a portion of Schofleld Barracks a Brigade Post, Cavalry on the hike, Infantry as well, a City of Tonts, Artillery "Ready to go into Action" and a Big Gun Drill on the Parade Grounds. The Bathing Beach at Waiklkl is a delightful and typical Mid-Winter scene in Hawaii where surfing is royal sport. Its pages are filled with some of the most delightful description of Island scenery and life ever written. We thank Mr. Miner for his appreciation of the Pyramid. "Fa'afetai lava." |
