His vi,'e will join him soon. Mrs. Ole Xeilseu and Mrs. Niels Matson left early in the week fjr Salt Lake for a short visit. ('has. Eatinger is back from a trvp to Ogden. He will remain here several sev-eral weeks yet. Gilbert Beckstrom left Tuesday for Huntington where he expects to spend the summer. John Murclock a graduate last year from Wasatch Academy, has spent a few days here this week. Miss Marsella Schovil returned yesterday yes-terday from Ogden, near where site has just finished a' successful years school teaching. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Jensen and daughters, Winnifred and Carol went to Manti Sunday afternoon in their automobile to visit with Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Becker. Attorney and Mrs. Geo. Christen-;pn Christen-;pn have been visitors in Nephi several sever-al days of this week, called there by the illness and death of Chae. Sperry, a relative. 'Mr. Sperry was one. of Nephi's pioneer residents and a very prominent citizen there. Ex-Sheriff John Knudsen came in from Bingham this week. He is still an employee of the Copper Company, Com-pany, as a guard, and expects to return re-turn there in a few days. He has not enjoyed good health for a short time. Parley Madsen returned early in the week to Lone Tree, Wyoming, where he is employed in the government govern-ment reserve service. Mrs. Madsen lid not accompany him thore. She expects to remain here for some time, as Mr. Madsen's duties require his absence from home a great deal. Floods and high water have played play-ed havoc with the county, roads in some parts of the north portion cf Sanpete county. If particulars as to just how bad they are in the neighborhood of Milburn are wanted ! Pres. C. N. Lund or Swen O. Nielsen ! can supply the information. I Mrs. Georgia Johnson came to her home in Mt. Pleasant this week from Erigham City where she has spent the winter teaching in the Box Elder High School. She has had a very successful year indeed and expects ex-pects to returnthere next year. She wLl spend the summer in this city at the home of her parents,, Mr. and Mrs. James Borg. Bishop and Mrs. O. M. Sanderson, Miss Julia Flygare and Miss Ireta Cl ambers came down from Ogden in their automobile. They arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Anderson, where they will spend the following week. Miss Chambers is a guest at the home, of Dr. and Mrs5 J. C. Stocks. Mrs. A. J. Syndergaard of this city celebrated the 64th anniversary of her birth on Tuesday by giving a family party at her home. Her daughters, Mrs. James Long of Mar-ysvale, Mar-ysvale, and Mrs. H. B. Mensel of Sa-lina, Sa-lina, were in Mt. Pleasant for the occasion. |
