Miss Florence Taylor of Salt Lake City is the guest of Mrs. Z. E. Hill. Born to the Vlfe of Lester Cook, Monday, September 25, a girl. A baby girl arrived at the home or Mr. and Mrs. II. V. Yorgason Sunday, September L'4. Alfred Johnson, Jr., who has purchased pur-chased the farm of H. R. Puce at Mount Pleasant, will move to that place In the near future. Mrs. Martha Lund has been visiting visit-ing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Adams at Pleasant Grove, for the past week. The community was shocked by the sudden death of Mrs. George llugnins, Saturday morning. Mrs. lluggins was only 45 year of age and had been enjoying excellent health until two days before her death, which was caused by pneumonia. pneu-monia. The Bank of Fountain Green opened open-ed its doors to the public Monday morning. Invitations were aent out to the citizens to come and see the splendid equipment and conveniences for the care and accomodation of their patrons. The bank will be very much apreclated In thli community. com-munity. Lester Frandsen has returned from Ogden where he hns been visiting visit-ing relatives during the past month. The public school teacher have appointed a meeting for Sunday afternoon af-ternoon at I o'clock nt the school bouse, for the purpose of organizing a 'Tarent-Teachers' Association." All parents are Invited to attend and join the Association. Miss Ruth Lund, one of onr public pub-lic school teachers, has ben called to fill a mission to the Hawaiian Islands. Is-lands. Miss Lund will leave Immediately Immed-iately after the October conference at Salt Lake City. Fountain Green will be proud to send Miss Lund out as a representative of the community, as she has been one of onr Ideal voung ladle. Mrs. lluceins was a worker In the Relief Society and will be missed by her many friends as well as at her own fireside. She was the mother of nine children, two of whom have pre-ceetled pre-ceetled her to the grave. She Is survived sur-vived by her husband and seven children. chil-dren. Florence, Jennie. Orln. Iras. Ar-' Ar-' villa, Oakley and Max. all of Fountain Foun-tain Green. Also, her father. Mrs. H. C. Hansen and two sisters In Colo- J. L. Nielson and A. H. Anderson I motored to Gunnison a few days ago and took some of the Primary workers work-ers for a visit at Mrs. Fllanda All-red's All-red's home. Ellen Yorgason, Nora Morgan, My rum Lund, rado and three brothers. Funeral services were held at the L. D. S. Meeting House Tuesday afternoon. The choir furnished appropriate music. mu-sic. The speakers were Bishop J. T. Oldrovd, Dr. M. W. Blgelow, J. E. Sorensen and J. L. Nielson. The grave was dedicated by A. James Aagard. The floral offerings ' were profuse and beautiful. Those who attended at-tended the funeral from out of town were, Will Ormes and family, Mrs. Boswell. Mr. and Mrs. McPherson and Oliver Nielson, all of Nephl. Ma'ria Anderson Hermansen. whose death was announced last week, was one of our oldest pioneers. She was a native of Denmark. She was born at Venslev, Sogn, February 19, 1836. She emigrated to t'tah In 1885 and came directly to Fountain Green, where she has resided ever since. She brought with her three children and w-as followed by her husband two years later. Mrs. Hermansen was the mother: of twelve children and raised two1 adopted children. Six of her own children, one adopted child and her husband proceeded her to the grave. She leaves behind Mrs. Mary Fred-ricksen. Fred-ricksen. Mrs. Caroline Larson of Fountain Creen. Mrs. Annie Bristol ' of McCammon. Idaho, and one son. and two daughters in Australia; also, an adopted son. George Peterson of 1 ewiston, Idaho. She had twenty-four twenty-four grand-children and four greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren at the time of her death. Speakers at the funeral services serv-ices were Bishop Aldroyd, J. E. Sorenson, Sor-enson, M. A. Mikkelsen and J. L. Nielsen. The choir furnished appropriate appro-priate singing. Interment was at the City cemetery and the grave was ded-Parties ded-Parties from out of town-lr Mi-? icated bv Wm. Collard. Parties from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs Mons Norman.
