Show Jenkins' Family Has Auto Accident. Thursday evening W. W. Jenkins and family, and Miss Deon Kay of Mona were in Eureka playing to a dance. After the party had closed the musicians started in Mr. Jenkins' Jen-kins' auto for Homersville where they intended staying for the evening. eve-ning. It was raining when they left Eureka, about one half mile out of Homersville they were crossing a wash the bridge gave away caus-inz caus-inz the auto to turn over. The occupants oc-cupants were thrown out into the wash, which was 15 feet deep. The auto was caught and held by two posts on fhe side of the bridge. Mr. Jenkins and his daughter Blanche were thrown against the posts and severely hurt. It was some time before help came to assist Mr. Jenkins Jen-kins out of his dilema. The ladies after gathering themselves up went on to Homersville and stayed there the remainder of the evening, while Mr. Jenkins was taken to a house-near house-near by and cared for until Saturday morning when he was brought to Nephi. At last reports he was getting get-ting along nicely. Miss Blanch was able to accompany the other ladies to Homersville that evening and Friday morning came on to her home in Nephi. A party came from Eureka who assisted in getting the auto on its wheels again. Juab Times 4th. The Jenkins' family were to have appeared at Mt. Pleasant on July 4th, but the above misfortune prevented pre-vented them from coming. |
