Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR FRANK CARROLL Funeral services were held at the North Ward Chapel Sunday afternoon after-noon at 3:30 o'clock for Frank Carrol Car-rol who died Friday morning of diabetes dia-betes after a short illness. Bishop H. C. Jacobs presiding. The ward choir sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and prayer was offered by Elder Thomas West. The choir sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and Daniel Rasmussen spoke of the life and character of Mr. Carroll. Miss Elida Staker sang a solo and George Christensen Chris-tensen spoke a short time. Bishop Jacobs also made a few closing remarks. re-marks. "Guide Me to Thee" was rendered by the choir and the services ser-vices were closed by Elder James Monsen. Beautiful flowers were given by friends of the family. A largu number of people attended the services. ser-vices. Mr. Carroll was born in Ohio and was 62 years old at the time of his death. He came to Utah when about 21 years of age. He married Miss Annie Davis of Panaco, Nevada in the year 1883 and came to Orange-ville Orange-ville to make their home. There he engaged in the mercantile business busi-ness and was Postmaster for eight years. He was also school trustee. Since that time he has been engaged en-gaged in business in several towns in Utah and finally came to Mount Pleasant. He was the father of five children, three of whom survive him. They are Mrs. Wm. Rosenlof, Ed. Carroll and Clinton Carroll. |
