Mrs. Nels Waldemar entertained August 4 at a birthday dinner, it being her thirty-fifth anniversary. , Covers were laid for about thirty peo-j peo-j pie? Nielsen was the complimented compli-mented guest at a kensington and luncheon given in her honor Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon by Mrs. Andrev Knudsen. Other guests were Mes- dames Hannah Barnett, Mary Ann Reynolds, C. W. Sorensen, John K. Madsen, H. C. Merz, Joseph Davis. J. W. Anderson and Hyrum C'hristen-sen. C'hristen-sen. The Women's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian charch were entertained enter-tained at a porch party at Fink's Memorial Hall Tuesday afternoon by the Misses Grace Newman. Ethel Mc-Cormick Mc-Cormick and Madeline Lewis. About I twenty members of the society and a few invited friends were present .and the afternoon was spent in needle work in anticipation of the annual Christmas bazaar. The hostesses I served light refreshments. Miss Alice Robins of Salt Lake City ! is the guest of Miss Viola Whittaker-J Whittaker-J this week. . Mrs. Royal Candland was hostesj 3t a charming kensington and luncheon lunch-eon at her home on Oak Dale farm Wednesday afternoon. Miss Ruth Reynolds, a member of the For-Get-Me-Not swarm of Bees, entertained the girls at a delightful house party Thursday evening. Music Mu-sic and games furnished the evenii g's entertainment, after which dainty refreshments re-freshments were served by the hostess host-ess who had prepared them without any assistance. The table, decorations dec-orations were tall vases of shasta daises and beautiful hand painted place-cards were used. Following dinner, cards and music were enjoyed. enjoy-ed. Mrs. Chris Thompson entertained at a children's party Wednesday afternoon, af-ternoon, the occasion being her little daughter Thelma's seventh birthday.
