Show SPRING CITY I- 1 By Special Correspondence ; The Spring City ward Primary under the direction of Mrs. Ev Ericksen, Mrs. Minnie Nielser and Mrs. Hazel Black presentee I us spring festival in the victory hall Monday evening. Mrs. Anina Justesen and othei relatives here were advised of the death on May 1st of Mrs. Hannar. M. Larsen Miller at Castle Dale wile of Richard C. Miller. Mrs. Miller was born in Spring City 18U3, a daughter of Bishor C. G. Larsen and wife Marie K. Sorensen Larsen the family being be-ing among the first settlers ol oi Emery county and Bishop Larsen Lar-sen the first Stake President. Mrs. Miller had many friends .n Spring City. Mrs. Eliza Larsen has returned to her home here after the winter spent in Salt Lake City with her children. McKay Anderson who was a student at the Henegar Business college in Salt Lake City is now home assisting in his father's meat market. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jensen returned re-turned last week from California where Mr. Jensen was shearing sheep and Mrs. Jensen was visiting visit-ing relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Nyberg .s visiting in Sacramento, California Cal-ifornia with their daughter, Mrs. Hans Larsen and family. They were accompanied to California by their son, Darwin who is employed em-ployed there. Mr. and Mrs. Devon Hermansen have as their guest Miss Delda .viorgan of California. Miss Doris Barney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Barney was taken to Dr. G. B. Madsen's hospital hos-pital in Mt. Pleasant on the evening of May 2nd where she was operated on for appendicitis she is reported doing fine. Mrs. Paul Lukau and small daughter of Salt Lake City were visning last week at the home of ;;er parents, Mr. and Mrs, F. C. Sorensen. Mr. and Mrs. Herman C. Hermansen Her-mansen of Glenwood were Spring City visitors Monday. Mr. Hermansen Her-mansen was formerly operating the Spring City roller mill. Mr. ana Mrs. Daniel Jensen had as guests on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Emii Olsen of Ephraim. Sheldon Alfred of Provo was a week end guest of his parents, jir. and Mrs. C. E. Allred. Funerai services were held in -he bpi.ng City ward chapel Tuesday at 2 p. m. for Mrs. Lenora Len-ora Scnoiield with Bishop James e Ellis prrsiding. i- i Prayers were offered by Bishop Mcintosh of Mt. Pleasant and Vivian Larsen. The ward choir under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Rose R. Schofield sang, "Oh My Father" and "incuh Deepening Trials" with special music. A vocal solo, "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go" accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Reese at the piano. A vocal duet by Mrs. Flossie Plain and Mrs. Lavern Blain, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine" with Mrs. Reese accompanied accom-panied at the piano. Speakers were John T. Blain, James W. Blain and William Lee Allred. PaUoearers were 6 sons of Mrs. Schofield. The many beautiful flowers were carried by Relief Society -eaeners. Interment was in the' amily plot in Spring City cemetery ceme-tery under the direction of the Jacobs mortuary. Mr. Wall of Manti dedicated the grave. |
