Show FOUNTAIN GREEN r j By Special Correspondence ; Prominent Man Passes Away Away at Fountain Green ' Funeral services for Andrew ' H. Allred were held in Fountain Green Tuesday, Aug 26th with Bishop Scott Cook conducting Prayers were offered by Irvin Bailey and John H. Snow. Choir numbers were: "I Need Thee Every Hour," and "Lead Me Gently Home," directed by Cleo Johnson, acompanied by Lu Jane Christiansen. Speakers were Victor Rasmussen, Rasmus-sen, James L. Neilson, Joseph R. Christiansen and President Geo. M. Anderson of the Moroni Stake. ' A vocal trio, "Sunset," was sung by Lena Johnson, Jenna Anderson and Lillian Snow, accompanied ac-companied by Denice Blackham of Moroni. A vocal solo, "Some Sweet Dayy," was sung by Mrs. Hilda Christiansen, accompnaied by Lu Jan Christiansen. I Interment was in the City cem-; cem-; etery, under the direction of the Ursenbach funeral home of Mt. Pleasant The graveside prayer was offered by Niels Oldroyd of Glenwood. Andrew H. Allred, SO, died . Saturday morning at the home of j a daughter, Mrs. Reba Anderson (in Moroni, following a lingering ; illness. I Mr. Allred was born March 30, 1S67 in Glenwood, Sevier county, a son of Parley and "Caroline Anderson Allred. The family moved to Fountain Green the same year where they have resided re-sided since. He married Filanda R. Guymon in the Manti L D S Temple Dec. 17, 1890. He was an active church worker and a member mem-ber of the Elders Quorum. Surviving are his widow; two daughters and four sons, Mrs. Reba A. Anderson, Moroni; Mrs. Florence Sundby, Council, Idaho; Frank, Glen and Merrill Allred, Centerfield, Sanpete county; Earl Allred, Fountain Green; a brother broth-er and a sister, J. Frank Allred and Mrs. Sarah A. Anderson, both of Fountain Green; 25 grand children chil-dren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Coombs entertained at a family dinner at the City Park Friday afternoon. after-noon. Members of the family present were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Fahrni and children of Lark, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. La Voy Coombs and children of Salt Lake City; Ve Neer Coombs and Mr. and Mrs. Goerge E. Coombs. Bishop and Mrs. Scott Cook were. Salt Lake City business visitors vis-itors on Monday. Miss Llouanna Olsen of Idaho Falls, Idaho is visiting with her grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Olsen. Mrs. Mary E. Draper and family fam-ily enjoyed an outing at Nebo Canyon Sunday, Aug. 24th, it being be-ing in honor of her son, Aury's ! birthday anniversary. Those from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Everet Draper of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Ethel Jackson and family of Midvale, Utah. s Miss Lucile Jensen has returned return-ed home after spending the sum mer months in Salt Lake City. Visiting at the Ada C. Anderson Ander-son home Sunday were Mrs. H. E. Hansen and children of Provo: Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Anderson and Newel Rees of Wales, Utah; Mrs. Erma Jensen, Mrs. Reva Swensen of Moroni; Mr. and Mrs. A. E Carter, Mrs. Verda A. Lund and Mr. and Mrs; G. E. Anderson of Fountain Green. Mr. Ralph Wilson and sister, Jean of Salt Lake City are visiting vis-iting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Laren Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. James Guymon of Salt Lake City are visiting for a few days with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Brady and children of Las Vegas, Nevada visited Saturday with relatives. Mr. Dee Hansen and family of Lehi were Fountain Green visitors vis-itors Sunday. |
