Show Assembles Own Postwar Auto From 16 Others NEWTON, MASS. Young America, Amer-ica, which accepted the atom bomb without batting an eye, stands awestruck awe-struck when Edward C. Hammond's homemade single seater postwar car snorts through the streets of this Boston suburb. He calls it a "weep," and It has features that may not be incorporated incorpo-rated in automobiles for years, if ever. Hammond, a retired lumber merchant, mer-chant, assembled the car out of 18 automobiles, a trailer, a tractor, and a mowing machine. |
