Show Golden Years The Senior Citizens at the Golden Years Center have a real treat in store for them starting Monday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. under the direction of Barbara Howell, members of the "Femmes de Lettres" Club, meaning "Women of Letters" will present a continuing con-tinuing program which they are presenting as their contribution con-tribution to the "American Revolution Bicentennial" Celebration. THE PROGRAM is entitled "Happy Birthday America" and will consist of the following follow-ing Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. a Synopsis of six historical novels with appropriate music to their time and style, which will be an introduction to the following: Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. Christopher Chris-topher Columbus, Author Samuel Elliott; Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. Aaron Burr, Author Gore Vidal; Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. Immortal Wife wife of John Charles Freemont by Author Irving Stone. JAN. 12 AT 1 p.m. Love Eternal, Irving Stone; Feb. 9 The Gallant Mrs. Stonewall, Author Harriett Thomas Kane and March 8 "Five Smooth Stones" (The Civil Rights Movement) by Ann Fairbain. |
