Andrew Pratt, a member of the Glee Club, visited at home till Tuesday. While their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gunn, are attending a National Missions conference of the Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this week, Clarice and Norine Gunn are staying in Finks Dormitory and Lincoln Hall, respectively. Norine is the guest , of her grandmother, Mrs. Grace Gunn. During their parents' attendance at the same meeting, Bobby and Carol Hansen are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. William McLaughlin. McLaugh-lin. Douglas Reid stayed with the William Burtons while his parents, "Rev. and Mrs. Gregory Reid, went to the presbytery and presbyterial meetings in Richfield Rich-field on Thursday and Friday. Supt. and Mrs. W. N. Ball gave the lesson at a Sundav evening fireside last week which i took place at the home of Mr. e.na ivirs. j. k. cagnan. Mrs. Leroy Hatch of Richfield will spend the weekend with hei grandchildren at the Merrill Hatch home. Mrs. Glen Hardy returned tn r-er home this week from a Salt Lake hospital where she recently underwent a major operation. Coach E. G. Brunger will give a lecture on the national flags next Thursday evening for members mem-bers of Laicos club. Mrs. William Wil-liam Beck will be the hostess. V f Mr. and Mrs. J. Ben Staker visited in Salt Lake this week. Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Farley-attended Farley-attended the wedding of Miss Mary Louise Hansen, a cousin of Mrs. Farley's, in Salt Lake last Friday. Mrs. Ina A. Christensen oi Salt Lake is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alden Ay eiett. Mrs. Christensen will leave April 1 to assume a new iob as nurse at the Magma Copper Cop-per Co. hospital in Superior, Arizona.. For .the .past two year? Mrs. Christensen has been on ihe staff of the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Av-erett Av-erett plan to accompany theii daughter on the trip to Superior and spend a few weeks. Last Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Holt entertained a group of their friends at dinner and an evening of 500. Those in altendance were: Mr. and Mrs. Wallis Rosenlof, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. John Christopher, Mr. and Mrs Ray Neilson and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Staker. Prizes for high scores wers awarded to Mr. Christopher, Mi Nelson and Mrs. Staker. ., Mrs. Frank Pritchett was eiected president of Acme club at a regular meeting last Wed nesday afternoon. . Other offii errs chosen to serve with Mrs. Pritchett next year are Mrs. Emil Kutishauser, vice president; Mrs. Bill Jones, secretary; Mrs. Ed Jensen, treasurer, and Mr-. George Squire, historian. Mrs. Otto Clark is the retiring pres;-dent pres;-dent of the club. The election of officers is r part of the annual club birthday party. Mrs. Emil Rutishause. and Mrs. A. F. A delicious de-licious hot luncheon was then served followed by a few round; of Rook. Mrs. J. Scovil were co-chairmen for the food committtee at a ioint meeting of the Lions and their wives Wednesday evening in the Home Economics: room of the North 'Sanpete high , -.school Other committee members were Mrs. Ted Lasson, Mrs. E. During their sojourn in California Cali-fornia they attended the National Nat-ional Orange Show in San Bernardino. Bern-ardino. . Mr. and Mrs. Lon Madsen have , returned from a ten-day trip to Arizona. They . visited Bryce Canyon, Zions Canyon, , Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon and other places of interest. The Madsens accompanied Mrs. Madsen's brother, Allie Bennett and wife of Canada. The Bennetts, vill visit in Provo and Salt Lake before returning to their home in Canada. |
