Show 60 Register For Draft In Week Dean Anderson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Anderson of Mount PlJjsant was uacly and waiting Monday morning at 8 a. m. when' officers of local draft registration arrived to officially open an office at the Mt. Pleasant city hall. The Auderosii youth greeted The Graham youth greeted the Rev. E. E. Bollinger and Harold Hansen and was the first man to register for the draft at the local office. All young men who have attained the age of 18 and are under 26 must register some time between be-tween last Monday and September Sep-tember 18, it was explained. The Mt. Pleasant registration office is a part of Local Board No 28 which is located at Manti with Mrs. Catherine C. Larsen as clerk. District Judge Iceland Ice-land Larsen is chairman of the board. T he Rev. E. E. Bollinger is board member from the north part of the county and the third member resides in Gunnison. Gun-nison. . . Young men residing in ln-dianola, ln-dianola, Milburn, Fairview Mt Pleasant and Spring City should register at the Mt. Pleasant office of-fice Harold Hansen said. Thoss residing in the west part of the county Moroni, Wales, Chester and Fountain Green, should register reg-ister at Ephraim, he stated. Biggest day for registrations at the Mt. Pleasant office was Monday, the first clay, when 21 young men signed up. Eighteen Eigh-teen registered Tuesday, 12 Wednesday and nine. Thursday, making a total of 60 up to Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. |
