Mr. O'rin Jensen and Mrs. rorgo Jensen served dinner at the home of Mrs. George Jensen honoring James P. Chrisfensen, Mrs. Elsie Jorponsen of Manti anrl son of Ileher City, Utah. Spring City Ward' held their annual Gold and Green Ball on Wednesday evening in the Victory Vic-tory Theatre. The Queen of the Rail was Janet Bax'er and her attendants were Tessie Blain. Nedra Fullmer, Carol Thomnson, Keith Sorensen. Russell Aiken and Louis Jensen. Junior attendants attend-ants were Marion Sorensen, Mar-iorie Mar-iorie Nielsen, Joan Berntsen David Hope, Gary Christensen and Gordon Madden. The Queen and her attendants were dressed in red. white and blue. The hall was derorated in the colors of our Flap. Board "of the Relief Society The following plays were conducted by Mrs. Rose Schofield and Mrs. Eva Erieksen: The first play was given by the 4th Grade students of the Public School. Piano solos were then given by Lenor Allred, Donna Bunnell arid Carol Terry. Then the 6th Grade students stu-dents gave a Three-Act play. "The Donavans." Remark were made by Mrs. Pearl Olsen of Mt. Pleasant. The closing prayer was offered by Mina Sorensen, a Board member. There was a very good attendance, and all brought a covered dish and luncheon was served to everyone present. A most enjoyable time was had by all who came. On Friday evening a farewell party in honor of Robert Mar Dye and John Edmunds was given giv-en in the Victory Hall. Reed H. Allred was the sneaker and the North Sanpete High School presented pre-sented a patriotic play. The men are leaving for Service in the U. S. Navy. Darwin Terry was also honored at Friday's party. Minnie D. Barney just received word of the birth of her 18th great-grandchild, born to Mr. and Mrs. Gorden Barney. The mother and baby are in California and the father is overseas with the U. S. Navy. It is the first grandchild grand-child of Mr. and Mrs. Virit Barney Bar-ney of Delta, Utah. |
