Show Aircraft Workers Sought Locally By Western Air School A. B. Bordley will be in Mt. Pleasant October 14 and 15, representing re-presenting Western Air, for the purpose of selecting men who can qualify for aircraft factory work. About 75 men have qualified from Utah recently and are now holding down jobs in Los Angeles .actories. Western Air wants only American Amer-ican citizens, white, ages from 18 to 33, in good health and not addicted ad-dicted to drink. This is a government govern-ment accredited ins'.ution. Inexperienced but mechanically mechanical-ly minded men with a real desire to engage in aircraft work, who pass requirements, will be accepted ac-cepted for training in aluminum sheet metal work, in drafting, in factory mechanics, or as aircraft tcchr.:c:ars. Accepted men must finance themselves through the few weeks of training necessary to cab)e them to go to work immediately. im-mediately. With hundreds of millions of dollarsr in uncancellable orders for planes, the aircraft industry offers not only steady employment employ-ment but affords unlimited opportunity op-portunity for advancement for .hose who prove their capability, said Mr. Bordley. Because of the acute shortage of skilled workmen, ambitious employes will be given aptitude tests to f;nd in which field each is apt to achieve the greatest degree de-gree of success, he stated. These employes then will be permitted to attend night trade iraining classes, without cost, so '.hat, through self-improvement, they will be ready for promotion to higher positions. The night trade training classes cover the field from mechanical preparatory prepara-tory work to advanced engineering engineer-ing subjects.
