Show J. Morgan Johnson Writes From Long Beach, Calii. Mrs. Johnson and myself were up to San Franc. sco last -week, and slopped over at San Luis Obispo, and had a f.ne v.sit witn Me ooys from Mt. Pieasant and vioniiy. We got to Cajnp about supper timi. and w;re invited to at with them. And let me tell ou, the i boy's people need not '.orry about their boys not be-.r.g be-.r.g well fed. We were served a variety of good substantial food, .veil prepared and excellently served. The boys look fine, and are getting along splendidly in ..iclr work. I thought I could detect ju;t a little "home yearn-.ng", yearn-.ng", and that could be expected oy a normal boy, and we think .t just adds a little to our esteem A tnem. It shows their hearts are in the right place. It was a peasant and insp.ring experience ;or us, and we wish the boys .am. lies and friends could hae the same opportunity as we did on our brief but most pleasant visit. I note what you say about your xceive rains. You, too, have your quota of "unusal" weatner. it seems to be getting a habit with tne weather man. I hope, i-jowever, that it does the country coun-try a lot of good. We used to welcome the June showers, especially es-pecially if they were not followed follow-ed by "the June frost". Best regards from the family and myself, J. M. Johnson. |
