Show The Church Corner. . . South Ward Sets Teachers Meeting A meeting at the Welfare Building will be conducted for ward teachers of Mt. Pleasant South Ward Saturday at 7:30 p. m. Announcement of the meeting was made by Bishop Leo Larsen who stated it is the regular monthly session for this group. "Servants Of Christ" Is Presbyterian Church Topic A special proclamation from the Moderator of the Presbyterian Presby-terian Church will be read at the morning worship service, 11:00 a. m., at the First Presbyterian Presby-terian Church Sunday. This document proclaims a day of intercessory prayer on behalf of our suffering world, and suggests further Christian opportunity and responsibility, said Rev. E. Bollinger, pastor oi the church. In keeping with this suggested program, the pastor will speak on the theme "Servants of Christ", using as his texts the opening verses of some of the New Testament Epistles. At 7:15 p. m. the Junior High Westminster Fellowship group will be lead by Bill Hanley on the topic "Hymn Beginnings", and the Senior High group will be lead by Dixie Meyrick "Sweet Land of Liberty". National Missions Mis-sions presentations are to be the emphases in these meetings. Boy Scout Troop 50S will meet Monday at 7:00 p. m. with Scoutmaster Scout-master William Burton. On Tuesday evening at 7:15 p. m. Wasatch Guild will meet at the Craighead building with president presi-dent Ruby Hazelbush, and vice-president vice-president Barbara Voorhies presenting pre-senting the topic "What Evangelism Evan-gelism Means". Prayer meeting will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 p. m. at the church manse. Ordinances Performed At Presb. Church On Easter Sunday 19 people were received into membership of the First Presbyterian Church by confession of faith. There were 14 baptisms; four of these being babies, one only 3 weeks old. Two people joined by bringing letters from four other Protestant churches. There were present at the Sunday services visitors from Ogden, Milford, Manti and Delta. |
