Show ' Gleaners Enjoy Lawn Party lief rd If those citizens cf Mt. Pleasant who were so rudely awakened from , their sleep Tuesday night and asked to donate such things as a lock of hair, a handful of oats, a shoe, or even their autcgraphs, are wondering what it is all about; and if those people living within earing distance of the A. H. Anderson An-derson home are puzzled as to what all the commoticn was on Tuesday night, the Gleaners who attended the lawn party may be able to help you. ; . Elaine Sorenen, Elma Anderson, I? Margaret Lund, Esther Rasrrmssen, Lois Jensen and Maurine Johansen s were hostesses at the party which replaced the regular Tuesday evening eve-ning meeting. The girls met on the lawn at the Andersen home at 7:30 p. m. where they enjoyed Karnes, relay races and contests until nine o'clock. At that time Mrs. Jacobs was presented with the book "The Return to Religion" by Henry C. Links, in appreciation for her faithful leadership. The scavenger hunt that's what it was began at abcut 9:15. The P"oup was divided into five smialler croups, and each of these was given a list of articles they were to get. A prize was given the Sroup which returned first with i their list completed. : When the group returned from "ie hunt, the hostesses had a stand set up, and the girls were a served hamburgers and watermel- cn- All made for a good time. 1 We hope that by now the child- fen have received back their bot- I tleSi kiddy-cars, etc., and that the shoes, socks, handcuffs, belts, and j other thing that were borrowed j have been returned to their own- II ers.
