Show Spring City Gives Program at Gooseberry CGG Camp Second in the series of Sunday evening programs . being given at C, C. C. Camp F-28 through the cooperation of Wards in the North Sanpete Stake, 1 an entertainment furnished last Sunday evening, by members of Spring' City Ward was thoroughly enjoyed by the i Camp members, according to Lieut. W. W. Hannah, Welfare Officer ' of the Camp. The program, which was under the direction of Bishop James F. Ellis, consisted chiefly of selections by the Spring City Junior High School Band and readings by members mem-bers of the group. After Mr. Reed H. Allred had given the invocation the Band, urcer the leadership cf Mr. Ferris of the Junior High School faculty played a number of selections with rainarkable skill fo; such n young group of musicians -, Readings wewre given by Byrcu Ericksen and Miss Faun Teerry. a duet was sung by Miss La Rue Terry and Miss Ruby Kilsey and Austin Ericksen favored those present with a saxaphone solo. Mr. James W. Blain, a member, of the Spring City Junior High School, who spoke briefly to the Camp members did not talk at any length on any' particular subject, but urged the CCC boys to cultivate the attributes of true aristocracy. Mr. Blain defined the true spirit of aristocracy as good breeding with high - ideals and consideration for others. He praised the CCC movement, move-ment, saying that there are more than three hundred thousand boys in the organization who are giving evidence of their consideration for others through their allotments to their families. Programs of this nature, as well as recreational activities are being conducted at the Camp in accordance accord-ance with the policy maintained by the Director of Emergency Relief and carried out by Army officials of providing all possible opportunities to CCC members for education, recreation, re-creation, and religious activity. |
