Show State Junior Chamber of Commerce To Sponsor "Write a Letter Week" He wonder how many of us realize real-ize and appreciate the , fact that we are living in a state whose scenic attrac.ions per land area ranks among the very highest in the United States. Our state has rightfully been called, "Utan the Unique". Recent recognition of our natural wonders, has prompted the slogan "Utah is Scenic America". Ameri-ca". Being located in the heart oi the rocky mountains, we have majestic peaks reaching into the crystal clear blue sky. We have broad, fertile valleys, flanked by verdant ranges. We have shimmering shim-mering deserts bathed in pastel shades of soft blues, pinks, and blends cf innumerable hues which no arlist can capture. We have s,.arkling streams filled with mountain moun-tain trout, we have cobalt lakes oidden away in the vastness of pine and aspen forests. We have giant monuments of stone carved by the ravages of wind and weather. We hve beatiful farms resting in the shadow of majestic mountains. This is our homeland, this is our heritage, this is our haven of rest. In scenic lovliness, this is our land of Zion, this is our UTAH. tin appreciation of the scenic wonders cf our state, the State Junior Chamber of Commerce has set aside the week of July 11 to 18 js "Write a Letter Week". By this it urges to enlist the cooperation co-operation cf all individual citizens to sit down and write a letter to an out of state friend, telling them of some of the natural wonders of cur state. Invite them to visit our state and share in the scenic g-.an-dcur that is ou: commonplace experience. ex-perience. By doing so we will be displaying a loyalty to our state, we will encourage tourist traffic and we will help put Utah on the map.
