Show Pretty Wedding Reception at Madsen Home A beautiful wedding was solemnized solem-nized Saturday, Sept. 1st at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Madsen for their daughter, Evelyn and Mr ChaHes J. Jacobson, son of Mrs. Jacob Jacobson of this city. Miss Thelma Beaumann sang "Oh Promise Me," immediately preceding preced-ing the ceremony, which was performed per-formed by Bishop Byron Carter of Helper, Utah, Uncle of the bride, at 7 o'clock In the presence of tin. immediate families. The house throughout was decorated decor-ated with fall flowers. The altar was beautiful, decorated in pink and white Dahlia, Gladioli and Maid-den-hair Fern. The room was lighted light-ed by candelabra holding pink princess taperS. The wedding bell hung directly over the Bride ano Bridegroom. The Bride was lovely in a pale pink chiffon gown, with blue accessories. ac-cessories. She were in her hair, pearls combined with a waxen orange or-ange blossom, which had been in the family 50 years. Her bridal bouquet bou-quet wots of Bride's Roses and Lilly-of-the-Valley. A reception fo'lowed" at 8 o'clock at which 70 guests attended. A program pro-gram consisting of music and readings read-ings was given by Miss Beaumann. Misses Louise and June Barton, and Briant Jacobs. The Bride and Bridegroom Bride-groom were presented with many beautiful gifts. During the week preceding the ceremony, several fetes were given complimentary to Mirs Madsen. On Monday, Aug. 27, a Bridge Luncheon Lunch-eon was held at the home of Mrs. H. C. Beaumann. Hostesses were Miss Thelma Beaumann and Mrs. Lon T. Larren. Guest prize went to Miss Madsen, with Mrs. Royal W. Candland taking high score, Mrs. A. D. Christensen second prize and Ml-s Blanche Larsen lew score. Wednesday afternoon, August 29, a shower was given at the home of Mrs. S D. Ingsdorff. Mrs. Boyd Haf?n was hostess to twenty guests. Games provided entertainment. Orc-ip.fi songs were sung, and an rriginal pcr)n composed by Mrs. Longsdcrff, entitled "Memories" was -"d in hon-r of the bride-to-be. She received many beautiful and useful gifts. Thursday, August 30, Mrs. W. N. Madsen a':id Miss Edith Aldrich entertained at a dinner party honoring hon-oring Mr. Charles Jaccbsen and Miss Madsen, at the home cf Mis. Madsen. Unique place cards in 'honor of the bride and groom to be were used in connection with the lovely pink and white color scheme. Twelve guests were present. Mr. Ja-cobsen Ja-cobsen and Miss Mad.sen were presented pre-sented with a lovely guest prize. Mr W. N. Madsen received hign score for men and Mrs. Boyd Hafn high for wemen. |
