Show SPRING CITY By Special Correspondence ' Tne local Caa-.p of Daughters of Utah Pioneers invited the following follow-ing five pioneers wnose birthdays .(me in April to be present at t-ie meeting held Wednesday in the Rtlief Society hall: Clara Allred, Louis Black, Mary K. Allred, La-venia. La-venia. Raouison and Jonn Davis. The opening song was "Have I ijone Any Good in the World Today". To-day". Tne prayer was given by the chaplain, Charlotte Olsen; a reading "The Old Log Cabin" was given by Connel Osborne; a tribute was given by Tessie Blain to her grunQiXiCthers, Clara Allred and Lavenia Robinson; a reading, "Pioneer "Pi-oneer Bobby" was given by Russel Aiken; song, "When They Are Gone We'll Not Forget Tnem" was b'iven by Flossie and Tessie Blain, iva Aiken, Lena Bunnel and Em-r.a Em-r.a Jensen; talks were given by the lollcmng officers, Geneva Justes-oen, Justes-oen, Cnarlotte Olsen, Minnie Barney, Bar-ney, Rut.i Osborne, Jane Donald-sen, Donald-sen, Rose Olsen and Lena Bunnell, ihe closing prayer was given by v-e chaplain. Refreshments were served to twenty-one guests. Mrs. Mary K. Allred is visiting Ait.o her daughter, Mrs. Mary Howell at Fairview. Mrs. Howell entertained in honor of her mother's moth-er's eightieth birthday Saturday. Miss Eleanor Larsen returned lj.r.13 Thursday from a six weeks visit in Ogden with her sister, Mrs. Lloyd B. Keyes. Paul Strate Is recovering from a throat operation ferformed last .ek. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Strate, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sohofield and other oth-er Spring City people motored to oalir-i last Friday to attend the oand festival held there. The spring City band played in the contest. The Bridge club met Thursday afternoon at the home of Miss Ned-ra Ned-ra Larsen. Bridge was the diversion diver-sion of the afternoon. Refresh-iiiKnts Refresh-iiiKnts mere served to eight ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Butler of Park City were weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Butler's parents, .vlr. and Mrs. Earl Jensen. William Swensen of Magna is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. M. R. strate. John H. Coleman is very ill at -is heme here. Mrs. Josephine . Christensen, "the olind singer" celebrated- her seventy-third birthday, Friday, April lst at her home here.
