A small closet placed above the sink for holding dishwashing necessities is quite a labor-saving device. A rack may be made to hold the dish pan if the sink is too low. Cleaning Garden Hands. Working Work-ing in the garden makes the hands grimy and hard. About half a teaspoon of ordinary sugar, moistened mois-tened and rubbed into the hands with a soapy lather will clean them and leave them beautiful and smooth. To Clean White Raincoat. Cut up two ounces of good yellow soap and boil it in a little water till dissolved, dis-solved, then let it cool a little and stir in half an ounce of powdered magnesia. Wash the raincoat with this, using a nail brush for the soiled parts; rinse off the dirty soap and dry with a clean cloth. |
