An unusually large number of people were present at the annual Old Folks party which was held Friday in the Municipal hall. Tire banquet was served at twelve nocn. At two o'clock the guests were entertained en-tertained at an excellent program. At lour o'clock they enjoyed a picture show, following which . a I luncheon wa;: served. A dance wan ' then enjoyed from 7 until 9 o'clock alter which the public participated in dancing. There were one hund-led hund-led and thirty people served at the banquet, including the committee. This is the largest number present for several years past. Mrs. Call Draper' is at the L. D. S. ho Tital in Salt Lake City, where she underwent an operation this week. i Wrd was received this week that Glade Hansen was operated upon Sunday at the Bingham Canyon hospital fVr appendicitis. His mother moth-er Mrs. Mary A. Hane'en Bcgh was taken away from the same hospital hos-pital the day he entered it. She is feeling as well as can be expected since the amputation of one leg. ! A number of friends of Mrs. Leacy .Jensen arranged a lurprise party this week and met at her hrne where a most pleasant afternoon was spent in honcr ef her birthday anniversary. A delicious luncheon was served. The Somas club members and hu-bands planned a surprise party cn Mr. a..:d Mrs. Elmer Carter last Sunday evening. Games were play- ea ana iuncneon was servea. Mr. and Mrs. Jame , F. Robertson Robert-son received word this week that their son Monte was honorably released re-leased frcjn his labors as a missionary mis-sionary for the L D. S. church in California where he has been for the past 28 months and where he has been district president for the past 18 months. They expect him hv me in the near future. A large number of our people motored to Manti Temple last Sunday Sun-day ml-ming where they attended the Easter Service'i. Mi-, and Mrs. Alton Collard have moved into the old home of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Robertson, just west of their new home. Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson and family have returned from Ely, Nevada, where he has had employment employ-ment during the pa t winter. Mrs. C. S. Augascn returned home Monday from the LD. S hospital. hos-pital. She is reported to be slowly improving. Mrs. Eliliaa. Ivcry, Stake president presi-dent cf the Morcni Stake Relief Society, So-ciety, announces that conferences will be held in each ward of the Moroni Stake on April 18. Mrs. Lydai Guymon will pre"ent her piano pupils in a free recital on April 8 at 7:30 p. m. in the ward chapel. Everyone is invited to be present. Peter and James Guymon of Pro-vo Pro-vo attended the Old Folks party here last Friday. Mr. Glen Shepherd went to the L. D. S. hospital last week for medical med-ical aid. Mrs. Amy Samuel'; entertained a group of friends at her home last evening in honor of Mrs. Laura Llewellyn who is leaving soon to make her home in Salt Lake City. After an evening cf chatting a beautiful gift was presented to Mrs. Llewellyn. Delicious refre Siments were served. |
