Show ! FOUNTAIN GREEN j I By Special Correspondence I Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holman and daugher of Ely, Nevada are visiting for a week with relatives and friends here. A shower was given by Mrs. Ross Christiansen at her home lat Friday in honor of her sister, Mrs. Merrit Etes of Moroni, who was recently married. A pleasant time was spent and many nice gifts were received by the honor guest. W. P. Allred is bedfast, due to rheumatism, but at this reporting report-ing he is slightly improved. Misi Mildred Allred returned home from Salt Lake City last Sunday due to the illness of her father. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Holman and Shirley Oldroyd returned home this week from their ranch in Wyoming. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Johnson of Provo are visiting with relatives rela-tives here this week. A welcome home party in honor of Hazel Aagard, who recently returned home from a mission to the Eastern states was given last Sunday evening, under the direction direc-tion of the Seventies Quorum. A very large number was present and enjoyed the splendid program which was given. Reldon Holman went to Moroni last Sunday and was accompanied home by his wife and Infant son, who have been with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson for the past two weeks. . Mrs. Keith Allred and children of Mt. Pleasant returned home last week after a two weeks visit here. A clinic for all well babies and pre school children was held last Thursday at the high school at one o'clock. There was a large number of mothers and children present. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Taylor and infant daughter returned to their home at Wales last week after being here for the past two weeks with her arents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Mikkelsen. Misses Alice and Maurine Thomp son are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rasmussen. Mis Delia Robertson accompanied accomp-anied by her friend Miss Leda Fredricksen cf Salt Lake City spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jameo-F. Jameo-F. Robertson. The Fountain Green 4th of July celebration was the best with the largest number of people peo-ple present, for many years. There were two prizes offered for the two best floats and the decision was given to the Home Economics 'Old Glory" float as first, and the second honors were given to the Sunday School float; honorablt mention went to Geneva Madsen's Beauty Parlor float. Mrs. Arthur Christiansen has spent most of the past week at Jerusalem where Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nelson are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby boy on June 28th. |
